About Us

Merli's Kitchen started in a kitchen that was never meant to be a studio.

I run a cooking channel called Merlifood. For years now I have been cooking, filming and editing everything myself — 112 videos so far, all shot in my own kitchen. No crew, no rented set. Just me, a camera, and whatever was on the counter that day.

Spend that long behind a stove with a lens pointed at it and you start noticing things. The wooden spoon that feels right in your hand. The board that looks good enough to serve straight from. The small ceramic dish that stops the worktop turning into a mess halfway through a recipe.

I became quietly obsessive about these objects. I hunted down small-batch, well-made kitchen pieces the way other people collect records — and over the years, the things I kept reaching for, on camera and off, were almost never the mass-produced ones. They were the pieces someone had actually thought about.

Merli's Kitchen is what happened next. Instead of only cooking with other people's tools, I started making my own.

What I make

Kitchen pieces in natural materials — solid wood, ceramic, heavyweight cotton. Every one carries the Merli's Kitchen mark, because I want to stand behind each piece I send out. The best kitchen objects tend to become part of other people's memories: a cutting board that outlives the wedding it was given at, a recipe book that ends up in a grandchild's kitchen.

Everything is made in small batches, because that is the only honest way to do this at my size. When a run sells out, it sells out, and the next one takes as long as it takes.

Where I am

I am based in Turkey and deliver to the United Kingdom. The first collection is being made right now — if you want to know when it lands, join the waitlist on any product page and I will email you once, when it is ready.
